IND vs ENG: End of the second day’s play, India has scored 421/7 in the first innings, taking a lead of 175 runs over England so far.

India and England are playing the second day of the Hyderabad Test. After winning the toss and opting to bat, the English team scored 246 runs in their first innings. India started their first innings on Thursday, scoring 421 runs for the loss of 7 wickets by the end of the day’s play. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal missed centuries, while Ravindra Jadeja is approaching a hundred.

The second day’s play concluded in the Test match between India and England in Hyderabad. England’s first innings was restricted to 246 runs. In response, India has scored 421 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Currently, Team India holds a lead of 175 runs over England. Ravindra Jadeja is unbeaten with 81 runs, and Axar Patel has contributed 35 runs.

India started their first innings on the second day, trailing by 119 runs with seven wickets in hand, and they have added 302 runs so far. India suffered the first blow on Friday with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s dismissal. Joe Root sent him back to the pavilion in the very first over of the day. Root caught him off his own bowling.

Yashasvi missed a century and was out for 80 runs. The second wicket of the day was Shubman Gill, caught by Ben Duckett off Tom Hartley’s bowling. He could only score 23 runs. After that, KL Rahul formed a partnership of 64 runs for the fourth wicket with Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket attempting a big shot. He was caught by Rehan Ahmad off Hartley after scoring 35 runs. Rahul then shared a 65-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja before falling to Hartley for 86 runs. Jadeja and KS Bharat then took charge, forming a partnership of 68 runs. Jadeja completed his 20th half-century in Test cricket.

Joe Root achieved his second success in this match by dismissing KS Bharat. Bharat could only score 41 runs. India lost their seventh wicket at a score of 358. Ravichandran Ashwin made one run and was caught out. Ashwin and Jadeja were at the crease at the same time. However, when Jadeja entered first, Ashwin was run out. After that, Jadeja and Axar Patel have formed an unbeaten partnership of 63 runs for the eighth wicket.

Jadeja is playing at 81 runs with the help of seven fours and two sixes in 155 balls, while Axar, facing 62 balls, has contributed 35 runs with five fours and one six. England’s Hartley and Root have taken two wickets each. Jack Leach and Rehan Ahmad have taken one wicket each for England.
